Q: Is this website dead? I don't see many updates anymore!

A: It's anything but dead! However, right now, there isn't much to add or update. I'm preparing for Cataclysm, but since the meaty part of factions and reputation will be added pretty late in the beta, I can only sit and wait till Jaquelina can start her journey to level 85. However, if you find something wrong or missing, or have relevant information about beta factions, please do tell - I'll still update the database when I learn about any issues.

Q: There are some factions missing I know I'm exalted with!

A: Factions you are exalted with are omitted to make the list more readable. There would be no point in listing them anyway.

Q: My character level/faction standing/guild is wrong!

A: There are two possible reasons for this. One, the Armory only updates every few hours, so your character might be listed with old values there. And two, since this calculator uses cached data, it could as well be that while the Armory was already updated, the cache here did not. Fresh data is only pulled every 8 hours to avoid getting banned by the Armory server.

Q: Why is there no calculation for Alterac Valley factions?

A: AV is kind of a problem to calculate. While you get reputation for winning, the amount is based on several conditions, which are too dynamic to be covered by the calculator. That aside, there are loads of quests to do, but with AV's current state, it's hard to actually finish them before a game is over. Maybe Cataclysm will change AV again to make an addition worthwhile.

Your character's reputation data will be pulled from Blizzard's armory website and used to calculate an in-depth report on your standing with most factions in game - and what you can do to improve it!
